Orbit eTOG Listing Service: RFC-43 Tree of Guys
Description: In an attempt to avoid redundant guys (as noted in RFC-40), there should be some method of grouping similar guys. I suggest making a tree, since it shares the same acronym and would be funny. For instance, T+028C would be a child node of T+0289. This might also help with identifying blind spots and/or ambiguities in the present set of TOGs. Finding a grouping of T+0271, T+007D, and T+007E reveals there is no GAMER GUY, while putting T+001B and T+003B under METAL GUY might necessitate splitting it up into METAL GUY, ELEMENTAL and METAL GUY, MUSIC.
Comments:
- Since there can be multiple potential categories for a guy, it would be straightforward to implement this with tags/subtags, where each subtag is just a more specific TOG
- but, a guy might be a combination of several types and a type down the line may spawn a type from up the line. Can we make it a generalized graph?
- Hamiltonian guy cycles
